If you follow my blog (thanks to the few who do), you’ve figured out by now that I’m inconsistent at writing new posts. Part of that is due to a busy schedule, and part of is because I don’t like talking about myself. I ask people questions all the time because I want to get to know them, but maybe that is because I don’t want to leave room for people to ask me questions.
Well, the people at WestBow Press Blog asked me to complete a Q&A for them to run. WestBow Press is one of many great options for authors to self-publish their works. It is a division of Thomas Nelson Publishers (my former employer), and I’ve come to know a few of the people there, who are committed to helping authors succeed. I’m particularly fond of them because they were the first home to Annie F. Downs, who I now represent as agent. Her book From Head to Foot was first published by WestBow Press but has since been discontinued because it will soon release from Zondervan under the titleĀ Perfectly Unique. If you haven’t heard of her, check out her blog or, if you know some teen girls, send them to a Girls of Grace event this fall so they can hear her speak and get to know and love her.
Now back to the subject of this post. If you care to read what I wrote for the WestBow Press Blog, you can read the Q&A in its entirety HERE. I’d love to know what you think, especially since I, in no way, speak for every agent out there. Hope my thoughts are helpful and encouraging to authors.
